The touring exhibition opens in Atlanta

Wanderausstellung

The international travelling exhibition continues its journey to its second stop in the United States. Willy Brandt developed close and friendly relations with the USA after the Second World War. For the Governing Mayor of Berlin and the Federal Chancellor in Bonn, the partnership with the United States of America was the indispensable basis of his foreign policy actions. Despite some tensions with various US governments and despite the criticism that he leveled at the USA, particularly as an “elder statesman”, Brandt almost always had a positive image of America.

We are delighted that our travelling exhibition “Willy Brandt 1913-1992. A Life for Freedom, Peace and Reconciliation between Nations” is heading to Atlanta, Georgia. From 27 to 29 September, the exhibition is a guest at this year’s German Studies Association (GSA) Conference.
