Guided Tours in Berlin

We are happy to be able to offer guided tours, group visits and educational offers again and to engage in direct conversation with you.

Public guided tours (in German)

Learn exciting stories about the exhibits and the life and work of Willy Brandt on a guided tour of the new exhibition. The offer is free of charge, registration is not necessary.

Every fortnight on Sundays, at 11:30 am. Duration approx. 60 minutes

Guided tours for school classes

Our instructors introduce your pupils to the life and work of Willy Brandt in a dialogue-based tour of the exhibition. You are welcome to arrange a special topic.

The tour lasts 45–60 minutes and costs 2 Euro per person (minimum 0f 30 Euros) plus 20 Euro foreign language surcharge.

Group tours

You can book an “overview tour” or a “focus tour” for your group.
A guided tour lasts one hour and costs 5 euros per person (minimum 50 Euros) plus 20 Euro foreign language surcharge.

Cancellation conditions: If you and your group are unable to attend the appointment, you must cancel your booking no later than two working days before the booked date. In case of late cancellation or no-show, a cancellation fee of 30 € for school classes and 50 € for groups will be charged. Prices are subject to change without notice.

City tour through the government district

During the tour, we will explore with you the relevant historical sites of the division of Germany as well as today’s places of remembrance and commemoration in the government district of Berlin. You will learn more about Willy Brandt’s East and Germany policy during the Cold War, about “change through rapprochement” and the “politics of small steps” during his time as Governing Mayor of (West) Berlin and his chancellorship in Bonn. The tour takes 1.5 to 2 hours (about 3 km on foot). Costs 90 or 120 euros per group.

Touch tours

Using various objects, audio samples and detailed object descriptions, we take you on a journey through Willy Brandt’s varied life and his political work. Duration: approx. 90 min
Cost: 5 euros per assistant
