The international touring exhibition presents highlights from the life of the politician and man Willy Brandt. From 11 November 2021 to 11 February 2022, the exhibition will be on display in Norwegian at the University of Oslo – the city where Willy Brandt was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1971.

Opening programm, 11 November 2021, starting at 6 p.m.

  • Welcome by Randi Halveg Iversby, Acting Director of University of Oslo Library
  • Short introduction to the exhibition by Wolfram Hoppenstedt, Managing Director of the Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation
  • Opening of the exhibition by Germany’s Ambassador to Norway, Alfred Grannas
  • Panel discussion with:
    Robin Allers, Associate Professor at the Department of Defense Studies, Norwegian Defence University College
    Rebekka Borsch, politician and head of the Norwegian UNESCO Commission
    Mathilde Israelsen,President of the Students’ Initiative on Foreign Affairs (SIFA), University of Oslo
    Moderator: Henrik Keyser Pedersen, specialist for the subject German, University of Oslo Library
  • Reception at the University Library supported by the German Embassy in Oslo
