Historian Elisabeth Röhrlich (Vienna), journalist Mathieu von Rohr (Hamburg), politician Karsten Voigt (Berlin) and political scientist Ursula Schröder (Hamburg) will discuss this very question. They will talk about the expectations, but also disappointments, that are currently associated with the Peace Prize. At the core of the discussion is the question of how contemporary the Nobel Peace Prize is and how strongly it is linked to the ideas of peace in Western societies and how it is tied to the classical forms of conflict of the 19th and 20th centuries. Host: Frauke Hamann (Hamburg) The panel discussion will be broadcast as a livestream on the Foundation’s YouTube channel. You can join the discussion via the live chat on YouTube or Twitter at @BWBStiftung. . More Events
