In the lecture, in the spirit of Willy Brandt, they take up topics that are of central importance for understanding our history and shaping our present and future. As part of the visit, the foundation also organizes an accompanying program consisting of meetings and background discussions. In recent years, the managing director of the International Campaign for the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), Helena Fihn, the environmental activist Naomi Klein, the internet pioneer Jaron Lanier, the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, Frederica Mogehrini and the historian Fritz Stern have held the Willy Brandt Lecture.
