The international touring exhibition opens in Huesca

Wanderausstellung

The international travelling exhibition is on tour again. Until February this year, our exhibition has been on show in Norway. Now we have moved on to the south of Europe, to Spain. Willy Brandt was in Spain at the beginning of March 1937. He reported on the Spanish Civil War for the Norwegian working-class press and also visited the Aragon Front in Huesca.

From April 1 through April 28, the international touring exhibition “Willy Brandt 1913-1992. A Life for Freedom, Peace and Reconciliation between Nations” is on show at the Centro Cultural Manuel Benito Moliner, Huesca. The exhibition presents milestones from the life of the politician and man Willy Brandt. It takes visitors around the globe and through world history: to places such as Oslo as a city of emigration during the Nazi era, Berlin as a divided city and Moscow as a place of diplomatic negotiations during the Cold War.

On March 31, the exhibition was ceremoniously opened at the Centro Cultural Manuel Benito Moliner by Javier Lambán, President of Aragon, Luis Felipe Serrate, Mayor of Huesca, and Juan Francisco Serrano (Secretariat for the Toledo Pact and Social Inclusion, PSOE). The Managing Director of the Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation Wolfram Hoppenstedt gave a short introduction to the exhibition. Opening hours are Monday through Sunday 6 pm to 9 pm and on weekends also from 10 am to 2 pm. The entry is free.

The travelling exhibition takes place in cooperation with the PSOE Huesca.
