The exhibition “Willy Brandt 1913-1992. A Life for Freedom, Peace and Reconciliation between Nations (2019–2024)

As opponent of the Nazis, Federal Chancellor, Nobel Prize laureate and international statesman, Willy Brandt was a staunch proponent of peace, freedom and solidarity. He left behind a rich political legacy that is still today ground-breaking in many aspects. Concentrating on ten historical places and events in his life, the international touring exhibition demonstrates Brandt’s political philosophy and actions.

The international traveling exhibition opened at the German Historical Institute in Moscow on September 15, 2020, to mark the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Moscow and subsequently visited Poland, Norway, Spain, Portugal, and the USA.
